Morgan Takes Over It Books
Cal Morgan will take over HarperCollins's It Books imprint as senior v-p and publisher. The position is being vacated by Carrie Kania who announced earlier this week that she is leaving HC to become an agent.

Lennertz to Head World Book Night U.S.
Current HarperCollins v-p, retail marketing Carl Lennertz has been named chief executive of the newly formed U.S. arm of World Book Night. Launched last year in the U.K., WBN organizers hope to give away 1 million books when the second annual event takes place April 23. Lennertz joins WBN Sept. 1.

Obituary: Michael Morris, Children's Publisher, Dies at 69
Michael Morris, the children’s book packager and founder of Victoria House Publishing and Joshua Morris Publishing, died Saturday, July 16, from complications due to cancer. He was 69.
