  • Berger Retiring From S&S

    Marcela Berger, who has been working in the rights department at Simon & Schuster for 35 years, is retiring. Berger is currently v-p and director of subsidiary rights. Berger licensed, and/or sold, a number of iconic titles, inculding Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein's The Final Days and Dave Eggers's A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius; she will leave S&S at the end of the year and, at the Frankfurt Book Fair in October, will be honored by the publisher at a reception.
