HMH Picks Technology Vet as New CEO
Houghton Mifflin Harcourt has ended its five month search for a new leader by appointing Linda Zecher as president and CEO. Zecher was most recently a corporate v-p at Microsoft; she succeeds Barry O’Callaghan, who resigned in March.

Judy Hottensen is resigning as publisher of Weinstein Books to return to Grove/Atlantic September 6 as associate publisher where she will take over some of the duties of Eric Price, who is retiring from a fulltime role at Grove. Weinstein Books said it is close to finding a successor for Hottensen.
