Steve Kleinedler has been named executive editor of Houghton Mifflin Harcourt's reference group in the trade & reference division. Kleinedler was previously supervising editor.

Elisabeth Dyssegaard, editor in chief of Hyperion, has announced that Kerri Kolen, senior editor at Simon & Schuster, will join Hyperion as executive editor on September 6. At Hyperion, Kolen will focus on acquiring book projects in such areas as pop culture, humor, sports, memoir, and fiction.
