'Robert the Rose Horse' Author Back on the Scene
Joan Heilbroner, best known for her first book, Robert the Rose Horse, which was published in 1962 and has never been out of print, is back. After a hiatus of about 20 years Heilbroner returns with A Pet Named Sneaker, which Julie Just of Janklow & Nesbit Associates has just sold to Alice Jonaitis at Random House.

Glenn Beck Re-Ups with S&S; Launches New Imprint
Glenn Beck has signed a new co-publishing deal with Simon & Schuster. The conservative talk show personality, through his company Mercury Radio Arts, intends to keep releasing titles in a variety of genres through the agreement, following up on the string of hits he has had in, among other categories, non-fiction, fiction and children's books. Beck, who has been at S&S's Threshold Editions, will also be launching his own imprint, Mercury Ink, which will release a mix of titles that interest him.
