David Wan, who recently served as president of Simon &Schuster's K-12 publishing group, has been named executive v-p and chief financial officer for the worldwide Penguin Group. Wan joins Penguin today, December 7, and will report to Penguin Group chairman and CEO Michael Lynton. He is replacing Phil Hoffman, who was promoted to president of Pearson, Inc. earlier this year.
