Bloomsbury Opens Academic Office in Singapore

In a move to strengthen is presence in the Asia-Pacific region, the U.K.-based Bloomsbury has opened Bloomsbury Singapore.

The new office will initially focus on the higher education with an emphasis on tailoring more content for Asian markets, which will be delivered primarily through Bloomsbury Digital Resources.

“Whilst we have sold books and digital resources in Asia for many years, having an editorial base in Singapore and tailored content will allow us to strengthen local partnerships, expand our activity in the region and capitalize on the growing student population,” chief executive Nigel Newton said in a statement. “We are excited by the opportunities this new office will bring as our base for Bloomsbury expansion throughout Asia.”
