Gathering of the Ghosts Unveils Lineup

Gotham Ghostwriters has unveiled the lineup for its annual Gathering of the Ghosts (GOTG)  conference, held at the New York Academy of Medicine in Manhattan November 10–11.

Lew Frankfort, chairman emeritus and former CEO of Coach, will headline a keynote on November 10 with former Forbes reporter Joanne Gordon, who collaborated with him on his upcoming book, Big Man: The Story Behind the Improbable Rise of Coach (Oct., Harvard Business Review).

The event’s closing session on November 11 will feature a wide-ranging discussion about the future of books and writing in an AI-dominated world, moderated by PW’s SVP and editorial director Jonathan Segura. Joining Segura are Jeff Jarvis, author and professor of journalism at CUNY; Mary Rasenberger, CEO of the Authors Guild and Authors Guild Foundation; and Shelley Palmer, author and professor of advanced media at Syracuse University.

Aside from this, GOTG will host panels about attaining a sustainable ghostwriting practice, the self-publishing landscape, and the collaboration process. A panel on the art of the book proposal, featuring David Moldawer of Writers House, Howard Yoon of WME Books, Michael Signorelli of Aevitas, and Henry Holt VP and executive editor Serena Jones.

Gotham Ghostwriters will also unveil the winners of the annual Andy Awards for ghostwriting.
