MetaComet Launches Agents’ Fee Calculation Software
MetaComet Systems has launched a new “agents” feature in its flagship Royalty Tracker software. With the new program, publishers can process agents’ fees, as well as author and licensor royalties, with the “click of a button,” instantly uploading agents’ statements to the online Royalty Portal, per the company. Meanwhile, agents can easily track how their splits were calculated, review royalty summaries by title, and find more detailed information when needed.
“This feature will transform how our customers work with literary agents,” David Marlin, president and cofounder of MetaComet, said. “Instead of spending hours or days manually calculating splits and fielding phone calls, they can process everything in minutes and give agents instant access to exactly what they need.”
Since 1999, MetaComet has offered its royalty management software to hundreds of publishers and other licensing businesses.
