Libro.fm Certified as B Corp

The audiobook platform Libro.fm has been certified as a B Corporation, per an announcement from the company.

Founded in 2014, Libro.fm is a for-profit, employee-owned company that shares its revenue with indie bookstores. The B Corporation certification process involved a comprehensive assessment of Libro.fm's impact on governance, workers, community, environment, and customers. 

"Becoming a Certified B Corporation is a significant milestone for Libro.fm and a testament to our unwavering commitment to independent bookshops and the communities they serve,” said Mark Pearson, co-founder and CEO of Libro.fm.

Libro.fm was previously named a Social Purpose Corporation in 2020.
