
Binc Awards 2025 Scholarships for Bookseller Development
The Book Industry Charitable (Binc) Foundation has announced the winners of its two annual scholarships: the Macmillan Booksellers Professional Development Scholarship and the George Keating Memorial Scholarship.
The Macmillan scholarship allows eight booksellers from underrepresented groups to attend their regional independent book association trade show. Each scholarship covers the cost of travel, lodging and meals for one bookseller up to $750, representing a $250 increase over prior years in acknowledgement of rising costs.
The Keating Memorial scholarship provides $500 to a bookseller in the New Atlantic Independent Booksellers Association (NAIBA), Southern Independent Booksellers Alliance (SIBA), and New England Independent Booksellers Association (NEIBA), for the purpose of professional development.
The winners of the Macmillan scholarship are:

- Larissa Berry – Montana Book Company Redux, Mont. – PNBA
- Karen Goforth-Harbin – Archimedes & Loft Books, N.C. – SIBA
The winners of the Keating Memorial scholarship are:
