St. Martin’s Picks Up Cory Booker’s Stand

Tim Bartlett at St. Martin’s Press acquired world rights to Senator Cory Booker’s Stand from Jennifer Joel and Esther Newberg at CAA. The book, per the publisher, “explores how our choices today shape the future—and offers a passionate call to conscience and a guide for courageous engagement.” It was inspired by Booker’s “remarkable 25-hour speech on the Senate floor” on March 31–April 1, which broke the record for longest continuous speech in Senate history, beating segregationist Strom Thurmond’s 1957 filibuster. Publication is planned for November 11.
