Julie Christopher to Lead Brand Strategy at Abrams
Julie Christopher has joined Abrams as head of brand strategy, a newly created position focused on developing strategic brand marketing initiatives for author brands and franchise properties. According to the publisher, the role is “designed to enhance consumer engagement, loyalty, and sales performance.”
Christopher has held positions at HarperCollins and Simon & Schuster, along with leadership roles at Entertainment One, part of Hasbro, where she led brand marketing for properties such as Peppa Pig, My Little Pony, and Power Rangers. Most recently, she served as SVP of global marketing at the Lumistella Company—home of the Elf on the Shelf franchise—where she oversaw marketing strategy and execution of consumer products, entertainment, and experiences.
Christopher will report to Melanie Chang, SVP of marketing, publicity, and corporate communications.
“Julie’s appointment reflects our commitment to pioneering new approaches in publishing,” Chang said in a statement. “Through innovative brand strategy, we’re positioning ourselves to expand market presence and deliver exceptional value to our stakeholders.”
