David Kramer Appointed CEO of UTA
David Kramer has been appointed CEO of United Talent Agency, effective June 1. Kramer, who currently serves as president, will succeed CEO Jeremy Zimmer, who has helmed the firm since 2012 and will stay on as executive chairman through the end of 2025 to support the transition. Zimmer will remain in his position as chairman of the board.
Kramer began his career in UTA's agent training program more than 30 years ago. He currently oversees a number of the firm's key divisions, including publishing. In 2022, Kramer led UTA's acquisitions of literary agency Fletcher & Company and U.K. literary and talent agency Curtis Brown Group. As CEO, Kramer will oversee all strategic planning and operations of UTA's global business.
Zimmer has been with UTA for more than four decades, helping build the firm from a boutique literary agency into one of the three major talent agencies. He headed UTA's literary department from 1997 to 2006.
“These 35 years at UTA have been so incredibly rewarding,” said Zimmer in a statement. “While transition is never easy, this particular moment feels very right. David has been my chosen successor for many years and I’m certain that he will continue to uphold our great culture, support our amazing colleagues, and honor the privilege of serving our clients.”
