Amanda Luedeke to Helm MacGregor & Luedeke
Veteran agent Amanda Luedeke will succeed Chip MacGregor as president and owner of MacGregor & Luedeke Literary Agency following MacGregor’s retirement. The pair has worked together for more than 15 years.
In her new role, Luedeke intends to transform the agency into a ‘collaborative,’ where agents run their own businesses and keep all of their earnings while working together under the same brand.
“It’s so hard to make it as an agent these days, especially if you’re with a boutique agency or on your own,” Luedeke said in a statement. “With this new model, agents will make more money and be fully in charge of their businesses.”
In addition to Luedeke, MG&L consists of agents Alina Mitchell, Elisa Saphier, and Colleen Oefelein. The agency represents a range of clients, including athletes, TV personalities, MFA graduates, and pastors.
