Bonnier UK Names Sarah Benton, Jonathan Perdoni Joint CEOs
At Bonnier Books UK, Sarah Benton and Jonathan Perdoni, the managing director of the publisher’s adult trade division and COO and CFO, respectively, have been named joint CEOs, succeeding Perminder Mann following her departure to head up Simon & Schuster UK and International. Benton, who joined Bonnier two years ago, has also joined the board as an executive director.
In her time at Bonnier, Benton has overseen “a transformation of the adult trade division,” per the company, including “the successful integration of Black & White Publishing Group and the implementation of a new imprint structure for the adult division,” which has seen 100% growth in profit since 2023 and is projecting additional growth of 20% this year. Perdoni has been at Bonnier Books UK for 15 years, during which time he led “the overhaul and modernization of its business operations” and Bonnier’s sustainability efforts.
“This exciting change of leadership is an important milestone for Bonnier Books UK,” said Jim Zetterlund, chairman of Bonnier Books UK and COO/CFO of Sweden-based parent company Bonnier Books, in a statement. “I look forward to this dynamic new chapter in our ambitious expansion plans for the U.K. business.”
