Forefront Books Names Mickey Maudlin Associate Publisher
Mickey Maudlin, whose 40-year publishing career included a long stint with HarperCollins, has been appointed associate publisher of the Nashville-based indie publisher Forefront Books. After top spots at InterVarsity Press and Christianity Today, Maudlin spent 20 years at HC, rising to SVP and editorial director at HarperOne. Authors he has worked with include Rob Bell, Bart Ehrman, James Martin S.J., Barbara Brown Taylor, Desmond Tutu, Marianne Williamson, N.T. Wright, and the C. S. Lewis Estate.
“By joining Forefront I feel like I have finally joined the 21st century,” said Maudlin, in a statement. “I have long wondered why publishers refused to adapt to the many revolutions in our business. Forefront has, which is why it is one of the most pro-author publishers out there.”
