Parisa Ebrahimi Joins Riverhead as VP, Executive Editor
Parisa Ebrahimi will join Riverhead Books as VP and executive editor, beginning March 24.
Ebrahimi began her career at Chatto & Windus in London, where she worked for 10 years editing fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. In 2017, she moved to New York to join the Chatto & Windus sister imprint Hogarth Books, where she currently serves as executive editor. At Hogarth, her authors include Han Kang, Anuk Arudpragasam, Heidi Julavits, Sarah Manguso, and Xuan Juliana Wang. The titles she has edited have been awarded or finalists for the Nobel Prize for Literature, the National Book Award, the Booker Prize, the National Book Critics Circle Award, the PEN Awards, and France's Prix Goncourt.
“I’ve loved my time at Hogarth, an imprint I’ve been at since its inception, but I couldn’t pass up this chance to work at Riverhead,” Ebrahimi said in a statement. “It’s a joy to be joining an imprint I’ve admired for so long. The Riverhead team’s steadfastness to literary excellence and a homegrown belief in their books is an inspiration."
