Steve Piersanti, Kristen Frantz Up at Berrett-Koehler

Steve Piersanti has been named CEO, CFO, and publisher at Berrett-Koehler Publishers, succeeding Praveen Madan, who was appointed CEO and publisher in January 2024 following the retirement of David Marshall. Piersanti is the founder of Berrett-Koehler and served as CEO, president, and publisher of the company from 1992 to 2019. He most recently served as senior editor, a role he will continue. 

"I am honored to have had the opportunity to help stabilize Berrett-Koehler Publishers, a company I have learned so much from and deeply admire," said Madan in a statment. "I am profoundly grateful to the staff, the board, and all of BK's stakeholders for their unwavering support during this transition period."

In addition, Kristen Frantz has been named COO and SVP of sales and marketing, and has also joined the company's board of directors. Frantz has been with Berrett-Koehler since 1992, and served as VP of sales and marketing for the company for 20 years.
