
Cynthia Lasky Promoted to EVP, Group Sales Director at Random House, Crown
Cynthia Lasky has been promoted to EVP and group sales director at Random House and Crown Publishing Groups, effective immediately. In her new role, Lasky will oversee all sales across all formats and categories for the Random House and Crown publishing programs. She will report to PRH chief revenue officer Jaci Updike.
Lasky most recently served as SVP and group sales director for Random House, Crown, and PRH Christian. She began her career at Bantam Doubleday Dell in 1988 as a national accounts sales assistant and over the years, she has held numerous leadership roles, including VP and sales marketing director at Bantam.
She has worked on such blockbuster titles as Spare and The 1619 Project and built book-over-book sales growth for such house authors as Lee Child, Elizabeth Strout, and Matthew McConaughey. She also played a key role in the launch and revitalization of imprints such as the Dial Press, Crown Fiction, Random House Worlds, and, in the future, Boom! Studios, Compendium, PRH Christian Publishing Group, and Storehouse Voices.
Reporting to Lasky are Maren Monitello, VP and imprint sales director for Crown Publishing Group; Janelle Leonard, imprint sales and business development director; Kim Monahan, newly named imprint sales director for Random House Worlds, Ballantine Bantam Dell, PRH Christian Publishing Group, and Out of Print; Lori Addicott, VP and director of Christian market sales; and Zeyna Tabbaa, associate manager for imprint sales.
