Distribution Deals for the Week of January 6, 2025

The beginning of the year has seen a flurry of distribution agreements, with such publishers as Darrington Press and Guideposts signing with new distributors.

• Macmillan Publishers has entered into a sales and distribution agreement with Darrington Press, the publishing arm of media company Critical Role. Macmillan will handle U.S. and international sales for Darrington's forthcoming Daggerheart Core Set in spring 2025, as well as titles such as Tal’Dorei Campaign Setting Reborn, Candela Obscura Core Rulebook, and new titles in 2026 and 2027.

• Baker & Taylor Publisher Services has reached a full-service book trade sales and distribution agreement with Connecticut-based Christian and inspirational publisher Guideposts for the U.S. and Canadian markets, effective March 1. The agreement comes as Guideposts prepares to release 41 new titles between April and October 2025.

• The State University of New York Press has partnered with University of Toronto Press Distribution for print fulfillment services in Canada, effective February 1.

• Simon & Schuster has entered into a distribution agreement with Big City Press, under which S&S is handling world print sales for the publisher.
