Nectar Literary Shutters

Nectar Literary, the boutique publicity and communications firm founded by Alyson Sinclair in 2019, closed it doors last month. Its staff comprised Sinclair, who is also publisher of the Rumpus; Mandy Medley, also the owner of Chicago-based indie bookstore Pilsen Community Books; and Sarah Cassavant. 

A statement on Nectar's website announced that the company would be "winding down in December 2024," adding: "We had a great run representing hundreds of books and dozens of nonprofit literary organizations."

Previous Nectar clients include the Academy of American Poets, Coffee House Press, the Lambda Literary Awards, Portland Book festival, and titles by such publishers as Alice James Books, Two Lines Press, And Other Stories, and FSG.
