Along with the Library of Congress, First Book, Screen Free Week, and Little Free Library, all of whom are cross-promoting with Children’s Book Week, Sesame Workshop is providing two promotional tools for the book awards and for Book Week.

Young Readers Voice Their Choice
Voting for the 10th annual Children’s and Teen Choice Book Awards will extend through the end of Children’s Book Week, on May 7, giving kids and teens an extra opportunity to vote online for their favorite titles. The 28 finalists fall into four categories, ranging from picture books to young adult novels. As in years past, the finalists were selected by children nationwide, in a process overseen by the International Literacy Association.

Every year since the inception of the national literacy program in 1919, an icon of children’s book illustration has created an official Children’s Book Week poster to be distributed to participating schools, libraries, and bookstores across the country.
