Amazon Publishing announced that Helen Bryan has become its second author, after Oliver Pötzsch (The Hangman's Daughter), to sell 1 million copies. The figure speaks to titles sold across all three major formats--print, audio and Kindle--worldwide. Bryan, an American who lives in England, published two historical novels with Amazon: 2012's War Brides and 2013's The Sisterhood. The author originally self-published War Brides through KDP in the U.K. and, after it rose on the e-book bestseller charts, Amazon Publishing editor Terry Goodman noticed it, later acquiring it for the unit's AmazonEncore imprint.
