Ann Godoff, president and editor-in-chief of The Penguin Press, has announced the appointment of Colin Dickerman to v-p, executive editor, effective September 6. Dickerman will join The Penguin Press from Rodale Books, where he served as v-p, publishing director.
Dickerman has over 20 years experience. At Rodale, he acquired narrative and lifestyle titles in the core categories of food, nature, science, exercise, self-help, and sports, including the #1 New York Times bestseller Onward by Starbucks C.E.O Howard Schultz and Oceana by actor and environmental activist Ted Danson. Prior to joining Rodale, Dickerman served as editorial director, then publisher, of Bloomsbury USA, from 2000 to 2008.
