Random House has created a new position dedicated to direct-to-consumer marketing, naming Melissa Possick director of marketing partnerships. Possick, who the publisher said will "create strategic, direct-to-consumer marketing partnerships and alliances for RHPG's key brand authors and lead titles," was associate publisher of Random House Trade Paperbacks.
With Possick's new post, Gina Wachtel has been promoted to v-p of mass market and trade paperback in the Random House Trade Paperback group; Wachtel was v-p and associate publisher of mass market for Del Rey/Spectra.
