Brian Crawford, president of the publications division of the American Chemical Society and a foremost research scientist, publisher and executive, has been elected to the board of directors of the Association of American Publishers, the industry's leading trade association. Effective July 2011, Crawford will serve until 2015. The Board represents more than 300 U.S. organizations that are AAP members and span commerical, educational, professional and scholarly publishing.
