Nina von Moltke, v-p, digital publishing development for Random House, has announced a reorganization of the travel unit Fodor’s that will create three working groups at the company and result in the promotion of Amanda D’Acierno and the departure of longtime Fodor’s publisher Tim Jarrell.

Under the realignment, Fodor’s will be divided into content; business development; and performance marketing and technology strategy. Arabella Bowen will head the content group, having been promoted to the newly created position of executive director, editorial and content strategy, responsible for overseeing content creation, content partnerships, and managing editorial, for print and digital content. She has been overseeing the Fodor’s online editorial department over the past year. Newly reporting to Bowen are Linda Cabasin, editorial director; Laura Kidder, editorial director; Doug Stallings, senior editor; Erica Duecy, editor Restaurants & Hotels; and Linda Schmidt, managing editorial.

Lauren Palmer will continue to head the monetization efforts for Fodors.com, and von Moltke said in a memo that “we expect to enhance the work of our current teams by bringing in new senior talent in the area of performance marketing and technology strategy over the coming weeks.”

D’Acierno has been heading up the Random Audio and Living Language divisions and now adds Fodor’s. In announcing her promotion, von Moltke called her “an excellent team builder and motivator with great business acumen and a deep understanding of our internal publishing processes.”
