Samantha Dell'Olio has joined Nissen Public Relations as publicity manager. Dell’Olio was most recently a senior publicist at Penguin Young Readers Group, where she was responsible for the promotion of the #1 New York Times bestselling Llama Llama series.
School Library Journal has promoted Chelsey Philpot to associate editor, book reviews and editor of School Library Journal’s Series Made Simple supplement. Philpot joined School Library Journal in the fall of 2010, having previously worked for The Horn Book Guide in Boston.
Henrietta Thornton-Verma will replace Josh Hadro as associate editor, reference at Library Journal and will continue to edit the reference column at School Library Journal. Thornton-Verma joined School Library Journal in 2006 as a contributing editor. In 2008 she became the editor of School Library Journal’s Series Made Simple supplement.
Josh Hadro, who was replaced by Thornton-Verma, has been promoted to the newly created position of excecutive editor, digital projects at Library Journal. The new position covers the strategic development and presentation of content online and in newsletters.
Scott Hocker has been promoted from senior editor to editorial director at Tasting Table.
