Dennis Eulau, operations and CFO for Simon & Schuster, has reorganized the company’s operations and finance group that he said “will provide for an increased level of integration and communication across our many business functions.” Under the new structure, Eulau will work with an expanded group of direct reports that will serve as a cross-discipline operational council that will meet on a regular basis in order to set and execute S&S’s strategic priorities and coordinate its day-to-day and long term functions.
As part of the reorganization two long time S&S executives will be leaving the company; Joe D’Onofrio, senior v-p, supply chain operations, and Karen Fetty, v-p, director of finance.
In his memo, Eulau outlined the new operational council: David Byrnes, v-p, finance and strategic planning; Craig Mandeville, v-p, general manager, adult, children’s and audio; Frank Nunez, v-p, business operations; Karen Romano, v-p, director of production and manufacturing; Dave Schaeffer, v-p, distribution and fulfillment; David Upchurch, senior v-p, group controller; and Samantha Cohen, senior manager, digital content.
