Dee Dee De Bartlo is leaving HarperCollins after 12 years to join February Partners, a public relations and marketing firm, co-founded with her former HarperCollins colleague Gretchen Crary. DeBartlo was senior director of publicity at William Morrow, where she created campaigns for Freakonomics and other bestsellers. February Partners has also hired Kimberly Cowser as online marketing manager. She will be in charge of managing authors’ online presence and building online tools to further promote their projects. Cowser was previously with Simon & Schuster and HarperCollins.
