S&S imprint Howard Books has announced six promotions and additions. Jennifer Willingham, former v-p of publicity, has been promoted to associate publisher. Angie VanTassell has joined the company as director of publicity, having left her post as v-p of Alday Communications, and once held the position of director of marketing at W Publishing Group. Libby Reed is joining Howard's publicity department as publicity assistant, and Ashley Earnhardt, previously marketing associate, has been promoted to the post of publishing manager. In the editorial department, Holly Halverson has been hired as senior editor. Halverson was most recently at Hachette. Jessica Wong, former administrative coordinator, has been promoted to associate editor.

Catherine Onder will join Disney-Hyperion as senior editor on June 14. Onder has been an editor at HarperCollins for the past seven years, and has worked with Eric Carle, Robert Sabuda, Jane Yolen, Geraldine McCaughrean, and Jenny Valentine. Most recently she conceived of and executed the first literary monster mash-ups specifically aimed at teens: Little Vampire Women, which pubbed last month, and Romeo & Juliet & Vampires, out in September.
