The Observer's Best Cookbooks Ever List

Buying Cookbooks in the Name of Charity
On August 22, the Culinary Historians of Southern California held its annual used cookbooks sale at the Hollywood Farmers’ Market. Food lovers arrived early for the best selection of vintage and recent cookbooks, all at incredible prices. Proceeds from the sale went toward the Historians, a non-profit organization that supports the culinary collections at the Los Angeles Public Library.
