Rizzoli held a behind-the-scenes tour of Sarabeth's Bakery in Manhattan’s Chelsea Market recently in honor of Sarabeth's Bakery: From My Hands to Yours, which the house will publish in October. Baker (and author) Sarabeth Levine and her colleagues explained how they bake croissants, Danishes, scones, muffins, and cake--and sent everyone back to work with plenty of goodies.

Former 'Top Chef' Contestant Candice Kumai Makes 'Pretty Delicious' Food

Chef Candice Kumai talked to the media about her forthcoming book, Pretty Delicious: Lean and Lovely Recipes for a Healthy, Happy New You, at a luncheon at the Hudson Hotel in New York City on July 29. Kumai was a contestant on Season One of Bravo’s Top Chef, then became the co-host of Lifetime’s series Cook Yourself Thin and helped create the show’s companion cookbook. Now, she is a chef contributor on the Cooking Channel’s Unique Eats. Rodale will publish Pretty Delicious, her first solo cookbook, in January 2011.

Chronicle to Roll Out Cookbook-Based Apps
