Studio's acquisition of Archaia, company executives said that Archaia founder Mark Smylie remains with the company, that Archaia will move to the Boom! offices in L.A, and the new company is still working on the size of its combined list and on its book trade distribution.

    In Genius, Ted Marx is a hard working quantum physicist, however his job is starting to overwhelm him. Then, he learns his father-in-law was entrusted with a dangerous secret by Einstein, which could be more devastating than the work that led to the atomic bomb. Ted attempts to learn the secret from his father-in-law, and struggles with whether to reveal Einstein's secret to those who might exploit it. Genius is written by Steven T. Seagle and illustrated by Teddy Kristiansen. It will be published by First Second in July.

    Lovers of Hip Hop and comic biographies will be waving their hands in the air this fall when Fantagraphics publishes Hip Hop Family Tree by Ed Piskor in October.

  • Panel Mania: March Book 1

    March is a first hand account of Georgia Congressman John Lewis' lifelong struggle for civil and human rights. Book 1 focuses on Lewis' youth in rural Alabama, meeting Martin Luther King, Jr., and the non-violent lunch counter sit-ins. March is written by John Lewis and Andrew Aydin and illustrated by Nate Powell. It will de released by Top Shelf on August 13.
