  • Print Book Sales Show Improvement, But Still Fell Last Week

    Unit sales of print books had one of their best weeks of the year last week, but it wasn’t quite enough to top sales from a year ago. As a result, unit sales fell 4.1%, marking one of the smallest declines this fall.

  • Bookstore Sales Slipped in October

    Bookstore sales fell 2.9% in October compared to 2021, falling to $636 million from $655 million last year, according to preliminary estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau.

Unit sales through the week ended December 3, 2022, were down 6.6% compared to a year ago, but up 12% from 2019.
