  • Abdulrazak Gurnah Wins 2021 Nobel Prize in Literature

    The U.K.-based English-language Tanzanian novelist Abdulrazak Gurnah has won the 2021 Nobel Prize in Literature for “his uncompromising and compassionate penetration of the effects of colonialism and the fate of the refugee in the gulf between cultures and continents.” He is the fifth English-language writer to win the Nobel Prize in the past decade.

  • 2021 National Book Award Finalists Announced

    Hanif Abdurraqib, Anthony Doerr, Ge Fei, and Lauren Groff are among this year's National Book Award finalists. The winners will be announced live on November 17 at the 72nd National Book Awards Ceremony, which will be held exclusively online.
