The nominees for the Edgar Awards, which honors the best in mystery fiction and nonfiction, were announced last week. Amazon put 17 of the nominees on the main Books page and, as of the afternoon of January 23, 13 of the titles were selling better as Kindle e-books than as physical books. The only titles that were selling better in print were Destiny of the Republic: A Tale of Madness, Medicine and the Murder of a President by Candice Millard, Last to Fold by David Duffy, Agatha Christie: Murder in the Making: More Stories and Secrets from Agatha Christie's Notebooks by John Curran, and Horton Halfpott: Or, The Fiendish Mystery of Smugwick Manor; or, The Loosening of M'Lady Luggertuck's Corset by Tom Angleberger. Mystery is consistently one of the strongest-selling e-book categories.
