Publishing Technology, an international publishing services and software development firm, has signed an agreement with the China National Publications Import and Export Corp. to provide digital access to CNPIEC’s content to its more than 10,000 Chinese academic and public library clients. The deal will also allow Publishing Technology to distribute its more 250 publisher/clients into the Chinese library market.

Publishing Technology will use its pub2web technology platform to offer Chinese libraries interfaces in both Mandarin and English. The new venture will offer digital access to both local Chinese and international content. CNPIEC is licensed by the Chinese goverment to import a wide variety of publications. The new PT/CNPIEC site will launch sometime in 2012,
