Hachette has won the Book Industry Study Group's gold certification, an honor that the organization gives out after its annual review of metadata through its Product Data Certification program. The award honors companies which have the most complete metadata associated with their titles.
Phil Madans, director of publishing standards and practices at HBG, said: "We are proud to have been part of the BISG Product Data Certification Program since its inception, and thrilled to have achieved Gold Certification this year – it is a public acknowledgement of HBG’s commitment to supporting our authors and trading partners by providing the highest quality title data possible.”
