Safari Books Online, a joint venture between O’Reilly Media and Pearson offering digital access to an online library of technology and business content, has launched a new website optimized for touchscreen mobile devices.
Visitors to the site (m.safaribooksonline.com) can access their Safari Books Online accounts through the web browsers on iOS 3+, Android 1.5+, Blackberry 6 devices as well as the Playbook, the Blackberry tablet. The site is designed to automatically recognize the type of device and screen size the visitor is using. Safari Books Online offers subscription access to thousands of e-books and videos.
The new optimized Safari Books Online offers all the features of the regular Safari Books Online website (Safaribooksonline.com), including full text of mobile-optimized e-books, videos, folders, search engine, subscriptions and more.
