After agency Ed Victor Ltd. announced it was going to start a publishing arm called Bedford Square Books, the British company has made it official that Open Road Integrated Media will be publishing its titles digitally in North America. When Ed Victor unveiled Bedford Square in May, it indicated that Open Road would likely handle its e-book and print-on-demand business in North America, but said the deal was still in the works.
Bedford Square Books is releasing e-book editions of a variety of titles by Ed Victor clients, focusing on out-of-print books. Among the books Open Road will be marketing and digitally publishing here, through the deal, are Edna O'Brien's Tales for the Telling and Sir Harold Evans' Good Times, Bad Times. Open Road also has an existing relationship with Ed Vcitor, as the digital publisher for, among others, 10 titles by Dame Iris Murdoch.
