John Wiley is adding a new option to its Custom Select program that will enable college instructors to select content at the sub-chapter level to use in customized course materials. “By facilitating a greater degree of customization, Wiley Custom Select now empowers faculty to create instructional materials that directly support and reinforce what is going on in the classroom and laboratory and help students achieve success,” says Iam Williams, director, Custom Learning Solutions.

Wiley Custom Select was first launched in 2009 to enable instructors in higher education to create custom texts and course materials online from a collection of books and lab manuals across all three of Wiley’s businesses, add their own materials, and select e-book or print delivery. According to Williams, the new enhancement was made in response to requests from faculty about the ability to select content below the chapter level. The new toolset will initially be available for a group of lab manuals, primarily in chemistry, anatomy and physiology, and physics.

Pricing is based on a per page output and is variable based on value of content selected and output type--color print is more per page than black and white.
