Perseus Distribution is distributing an e-book edition of Deep Water: The Gulf Oil Disaster and the Future of Offshore Drilling, the official report by the National Commission on the BP Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill and Offshore Drilling, through its digital service, Constellation.
The Commission released a $39 paperback edition of the report in a limited run through the GPO on January 11. The Perseus e-book, priced at $15.95, is now available, and Sabrina McCarthy, v-p for Perseus Distribution, said it is the only e-book of the report available at the iBookstore, Amazon.com, and BN.com to feature the illustrations contained in the print edition.
Commission co-chair Senator Bob Graham, who also has a political thriller, Key to the Kingdom, due out in June from Vanguard Press (which is part of the Perseus Books Group), said, “Effective digital distribution of the report is essential to reaching the American people with the story of the Deepwater Horizon disaster. We are very fortunate to have found such a respected and capable partner.”
