To celebrate their debut picture book, The Invisible Parade, creator of the Grishaverse series Leigh Bardugo and World Fantasy Award and Hugo Award winner and illustrator John Picacio hit the road for a national book tour.
The tour drew more than 1,500 readers, a particularly exciting feat for Picacio, as this was his first book tour. Over the course of the events, the creators greeted Bardugo fans in cosplay for her previous novels, along with art enthusiasts eager for Picacio’s latest work. We’ve gathered some of the highlights.

The editorial team at Little, Brown Books for Young Readers gave the creators a warm welcome during their visit to the Hachette offices in New York City. On August 30, Texas Public Radio hosted Bardugo and Picacio for a sold-out book talk and signing with Nowhere Bookshop.
The duo finished off their tour on a high note with a stop at Vroman’s Bookstore in Pasadena, Calif. Their sold-out event was followed by a book signing, where Bardugo and Picacio met another fan’s dog.
