Vroman’s Bookstore in Pasadena, Calif., welcomed author Grace Lin for an event celebrating her new middle grade book, Chinese Menu: The History, Myths, and Legends Behind Your Favorite Foods (Little, Brown), on September 15. Actor and author John Cho joined Lin for a conversation about her book, highlighting the history behind the most ubiquitous dishes in American Chinese restaurants.
Doggos Are Welcome
On October 2, Victoria J. Coe held her launch party for her book Fenway and the Great Escape, illustrated by Joanne Lew-Vriethoff (Putnam), at Duxbury, Mass. bookstore Booked. The event included a book signing and featured guests of both the human and canine variety.
