The Quarto Group has named Debbie Foy as publisher of a new children’s nonfiction imprint for ages 12 and up, to be revealed later in the year, which will publish "trend-driven content as well as fresh takes on classic topics across a range of areas from popular culture to graphic novels." Foy has also been appointed as co-publisher of Wide Eyed Editions.
Mary McCue will join Little, Brown Books for Young Readers as v-p of publicity and strategic communications, effective August 28. Most recently, she was executive director of publicity and strategic communications at Random House Children's Books.
Jennifer Schantz has been named executive director of the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art, beginning September 18. Most recently she was executive director of the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center. She replaces Alix Kennedy, who announced in January that she would step down after 15 years.
