Recently, a beloved children’s character appeared (or not!) for an annual scavenger hunt; an author took his bookstore on the road; and an author held a launch event highlighting history.
The Search Continues
This year marked Candlewick’s 11th annual Find Waldo Local, which encourages readers to head to local bookstores to find the iconic character. Hit the Road
Travis Nichols, author of The Terribles series, debuted his mobile bookstore at the Grand Army Plaza Greenmarket in Park Slope, Brooklyn on July 22. Readers can spot Nichols’s portable shop in locations across the city.
Back in Time
On August 1, Amanda McCrina (r.) celebrated the release of her historical YA thriller I'll Tell You No Lies with an event at Bound Booksellers in Franklin, Tenn. McCrina held a conversation with fellow historical fiction author Erin Litteken, followed by a q&a and book signing.
